What your day could look like
As an Enrolled Nurse, you'll turn clinical plans into compassionate, safe care—supporting recovery, empowering patients to set goals, and keeping patient flow moving smoothly across our service.
Every day, you'll contribute by:
- Delivering delegated nursing care and shaping care plans—using sound judgement to spot changes and escalate early.
- Strengthening patient experience through clear bedside handover and respectful, goal‑oriented conversations.
- Lifting safety and quality by identifying risks, documenting and reporting incidents, and driving small improvements that matter.
- Building a supportive team culture—sharing knowledge, welcoming new starters and collaborating to keep the unit running well.
Let's Talk About You
You bring capability and care in equal measure. You think on your feet, act with integrity and dignity, and show the courage to speak up for safety. You're proud to blend practical skill with genuine connection—because every interaction is a chance to make someone's day better.
Here's what will help you thrive in this role:
- Current Enrolled Nurse registration with the national board (no medication restrictions).
- IV medication competency (e.g., HLTEN519 or equivalent).
- Ready for rotating shifts in a 24/7 service; fit for manual handling and PPE use (including P2/N95 fit‑testing).
- Team‑centred communicator who practices safely to national standards and meets required screening and immunisation requirements.
You'll stand out if you have rural healthcare experience and/or have led small quality or patient‑flow improvements.
Above all, you live our values—Compassion, Integrity, Dignity, Innovation and Courage.
Together, we'll deliver safe, person‑centred care that strengthens the health of our community.
