What your day could look like

As an Oral Health Therapist, you'll help lift oral health outcomes across the Southern Darling Downs. From preventive care and routine therapies to community education, you'll collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to deliver safe, high‑quality care across our region.
Every day, you'll contribute by:

  • Providing patient‑centred oral health therapy within established clinical protocols to improve comfort, function and confidence.
  • Leading health promotion in schools and community settings, turning evidence into practical prevention that reduces disease.
  • Driving service quality—refining procedures, documentation and infection prevention to lift outcomes and consistency.
  • Sharing knowledge and supporting others—mentoring early‑career colleagues, guiding assistants and presenting to groups.

Let's talk about you!

You bring capability and care in equal measure. Calm under pressure and clear in your communication, you make sound clinical judgments and collaborate with ease. You're proud to help people prevent disease, reduce pain and access care close to home—and you're energised by learning, innovation and regional practice.
Here's what will help you thrive in this role:

  • Bachelor‑level qualification in Oral Health Therapy and current AHPRA registration.
  • C‑class driver licence; willing to travel across the region, with occasional after‑hours or weekend work.
  • Able to meet PPE, vaccination and manual‑handling requirements.
  • Strong communicator who works well in multidisciplinary teams and prioritises care effectively.
You'll stand out if you bring rural or school‑based experience and/or have contributed to service improvement projects or further study. Above all, you live our values: Compassion, Integrity, Dignity, Innovation and Courage.

Your work will help people smile, speak and eat with confidence—guided by values that put our community first.
