What your day could look like

You'll play a vital role in enhancing quality of life for residents by fostering social connection, supporting emotional wellbeing, and encouraging participation in meaningful activities. From developing therapeutic programs to working closely with clinical and support teams, you'll help create moments that matter.

Every day, you'll contribute by:

  • Creating and delivering tailored activity programs that enrich daily living and support each resident's abilities and goals
  • Partnering with nurses, support staff, volunteers and families to ensure activities align with individual care needs
  • Evaluating and refining programs to respond to changing needs, ensuring meaningful engagement and continual improvement
  • Building community connections that bring joy, purpose and social engagement into the lives of residents

Let's talk about you!

You're someone who brings creativity, warmth and genuine curiosity to your work. You listen deeply, value dignity and individuality, and find purpose in helping people stay connected and confident. You're proud of the way your work sparks joy, fosters belonging, and makes every day more meaningful for those in your care. You're not just here to run activities- you're here to uplift a community and support people in ways that truly matter.

Here's what will help you thrive in this role:

  • A relevant qualification in diversional therapy, leisure and health, community services, or disability studies
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to connect with people of diverse abilities and cognitive needs
  • Confidence planning, delivering and adapting programs with initiative and minimal supervision
  • A current driver's licence and willingness to undertake manual handling as required

You'll stand out if you have experience in rural health settings or an interest in developing innovative, person‑centred programs that bring creativity into aged care.

Most importantly, you bring compassion, integrity, dignity, innovation and courage to everything you do- creating meaningful moments that shape better days for our residents.
