Your new Role: 

Lead and deliver Allied Health research, education and capability initiatives across Metro South Health to strengthen evidence-based practice and improve patient care outcomes. You will: 

  • Lead the design, delivery and evaluation of research and evidence-based practice training programs
  • Facilitate and coordinate Allied Health research activity across services and facilities
  • Drive strategic research projects aligned to organisational priorities
  • Provide expert research mentorship, training and consultancy to clinicians and teams
  • Support research design, implementation, evaluation and translation into practice
  • Provide high-level advice, reporting and strategic input to senior leadership
  • Lead quality improvement, workforce capability and service-wide research initiatives
  • Manage multiple projects, risks, data reporting and performance outcomes

About You:

An experienced and influential research leader with a strong track record in evidence-based practice, capable of driving innovation, collaboration and system-wide improvement. You will bring: 

  • Postgraduate research qualification (PhD/MPhil) and demonstrated research expertise
  • Proven ability to lead and deliver research and evidence-based practice initiatives
  • Strong leadership skills with experience influencing across multidisciplinary teams
  • Advanced communication, stakeholder engagement and negotiation skills
  • Experience mentoring clinicians and supporting research capability development
  • Ability to work autonomously while contributing to broader organisational goals

The Centre for Functioning and Health Research (CFAHR), established in 2010, is an Allied Health research centre within Metro South Health that builds research capability and capacity across all services, supported by a multidisciplinary team with diverse roles and partnerships.
