Your new role:

As part of the STEPS program within the Acquired Brain Injury Outreach Service (ABIOS), you will deliver high-quality, community-based rehabilitation to adults with moderate to severe ABI. Working within a collaborative interprofessional team, you'll support individuals, families, and carers to achieve meaningful recovery outcomes and improved quality of life.

In this role, you will:

  • Deliver evidence-based ABI rehabilitation including case management, coordination, and group programs
  • Manage a complex caseload with a high level of clinical independence
  • Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team to support person-centred outcomes
  • Provide clinical advice and act as a key point of support within the team
  • Contribute to service development, quality improvement, and research initiatives
  • Build strong relationships with community organisations to support transitions and continuity of care
  • Support and supervise junior clinicians, students, and allied health assistants

About you:

You're a motivated and skilled clinician with experience in brain injury rehabilitation or a related field. You enjoy working in a team environment, bring strong clinical reasoning skills, and are passionate about helping people achieve meaningful outcomes in their everyday lives.

You will bring:

  • Demonstrated experience in ABI rehabilitation, case management, or community-based clinical services
  • Strong clinical reasoning and the ability to manage complex caseloads with increasing independence
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary teams and provide clinical guidance to others

About us:

The Division of Allied Health and Rehabilitation provides high quality, strong person-centred, evidence based, multi-disciplinary clinical, education and research services across the continuum of patient care. The Division also has the key function of leading First Nations Health and Outpatient Reform and Governance.

Rehabilitation services consist of inpatient, outpatient and community rehabilitation and persistent pain services for people with acquired brain injury (ABI), amputation, persistent pain, spinal cord injury (SCI) and other disabilities.

Allied Health modalities support all services across the hospital and wider community. These services aim to improve patient outcomes focusing on supporting self-management and independence, improving functional outcomes and rehabilitation and reducing admissions and length of stay.
