About the role
This role provides an opportunity to apply your expert level of knowledge and skill in clinical food service management to guide and support the provision of safe, quality food services for Queensland Health patients/clients. This will be achieved through the initiation, coordination and development of policy, standards, guidelines, research and resources; and the provision of a consultative service regarding both clinical and operational aspects of food services on a state-wide basis, with a major focus on regional, rural and remote areas.
About you
Our ideal candidate will be someone who can carry out the following key accountabilities in accordance with the Metro North Health's values:
- Provide high level advice and influence to drive the strategic direction of Foodservices state-wide, applying
evidence and an expert level of operational and clinical knowledge to challenge existing protocols and practises and advocate authoritatively for nutrition and dietetics and food services in the development of guidelines, standards, policies and directives.
- Through active participation and leadership roles at HHS, state-wide and national level, provide authoritative
counsel to advise and inform strategic level management processes and decisions for food services and foodservices dietetics.
- Lead the Statewide Foodservice Network, applying and implementing Network decisions and directions through the Statewide Foodservices Operational Plan.
- Promote and lead ongoing research and evaluation of foodservices in Qld Health, through development of partnerships with Universities, HHS Dietitians and other members of the multi-disciplinary team to drive, development of standardised evaluation tools to support benchmarking, best practice and continuous quality improvement in Qld Health Foodservices.
