Pathology Queensland is seeking a motivated and adaptable professional to support the Pathology Queensland Relieving Team (PQ Relievers). This team, made up of Medical Laboratory Scientists and Clinical Assistants, provides emergent and planned backfill across the statewide network, ensuring continuity of pathology services in regional, remote, and metropolitan hospitals.
This role requires mandatory travel across Queensland, with placements in regional and remote locations for extended periods (often multiple weeks at a time). Flexibility, adaptability and a willingness to work in diverse environments are essential.
Key competencies (role specific criteria)
You will be assessed on your ability to demonstrate the following:
- Clinical expertise: Demonstrated clinical expertise across multiple disciplines in Pathology.
- Clinical ability: Demonstrated ability to manage a variety of situations that require complex problem-solving skills.
- Leadership skills: Ability to build, develop, and manage a team using contemporary leadership skills.
- Team capability: Ability to develop and implement quality improvement activities in accordance with NATA and ISO requirements.
- Team participation: Demonstrated ability to work as part of and lead a team (face to face and remotely) to achieve KPI's that can be measured and reported upon using contemporary methods.
