Your new Role:
This position delivers high-quality, patient-centred administrative support in the Emergency Department at Redland Hospital. As the first point of contact, you will greet and assist patients, families, and visitors, respond to enquiries, and provide essential support to clinical staff. You'll coordinate admissions, transfers, and discharges, maintain accurate patient records, and assist with revenue-related processes to keep the department running efficiently. Working both autonomously and within a multidisciplinary team, you will promote safety, quality, and equity while contributing to positive patient care outcomes.
About You:
You are a proactive, detail-oriented administrator who thrives in a fast-paced Emergency Department, delivering compassionate, efficient support to patients and clinical teams.
- Deliver exceptional customer service with empathy, patience and a positive, client-focused approach
- Build strong team relationships and effectively manage your workload to support team and unit priorities
- Communicate clearly and professionally, with discretion, diplomacy and strong listening skills
- Demonstrate a strong work ethic, take pride in your work, and work confidently both independently and in a team
- Contribute to continuous improvement and uphold quality and safety standards
- Bring solid administrative capability with intermediate to advanced computer skills

About Bayside Health Service:
The Bayside Health Services is the primary provider of public hospital services to southern bayside suburbs of Brisbane City and includes:
- Redland Hospital – a 188 bed acute secondary teaching hospital
- Wynnum Primary Care Centre – Gundu Pa – a 24-hour Primary Care Clinic, Oral Health, Allied Health including Child Development Services, Addiction and Mental Health Services and Breast Screen Australia.
- Marie Rose Centre – a Clinical Services Capability Framework (CSCF) level one, 24-hour primary emergency care clinic located on North Stradbroke Island
