About the role
Reporting directly to the Kidney Health Service Clinical Director, the Research Officer is responsible for the coordination, implementation, and evaluation of the eCONSENT‑HD co‑design consumer research project. You will lead all key components of the research lifecycle, including research implementation and project coordination, consumer recruitment and support, facilitation of co‑design workshops and interviews, qualitative data collection and analysis, and dissemination of outcomes through reports and publications.
This role works closely with kidney consumers with lived experience, the eCONSENT‑HD Steering Committee and Project Team, nephrologists and researchers within Metro North Health, and external research partners across Queensland, interstate, and internationally. You will apply advanced qualitative and co‑design research methodologies, provide strategic and evidence‑based advice, proactively manage project risks, and support a culture of research excellence and consumer partnership within the Kidney Health Service.
About you
Our ideal candidate will be someone who can carry out the following key accountabilities in accordance with the Metro North Health's values:
- Deliver specialised clinical research skills and services within the Metro North Health (MNH) Kidney Health Service, with minimal direct clinical supervision
- Responsible for delivery of the co-design consumer clinical research project - eCONSENT-HD within the Kidney Health Service, MNH.
- Apply clinical evidence in the fully independent application and coordination of co-design, clinical, qualitative and other research methodology expertise to Kidney Health Service's practice and to support continuous improvement of quality service delivery.
