The role
Provide specialist Nuclear Medicine/PET services across a broad range of imaging modalities within a tertiary level Medical Imaging Service.
The service
The Nuclear Medicine and PET service is integrated with the Medical Imaging Service and provides specialist diagnostic services to hospital departments including Radiation Oncology, Medical Oncology and Cardiology. A close operational and clinical relationship exists with the radiology service which is supported by a comprehensive range of facilities including MRI, CT; US and DSA (Interventional) etc.
Nuclear Medicine is equipped with two SPECT-CT and a PET-CT. The service offers a full range of nuclear medicine procedures including cell labelling facility, therapeutic isotope administration and paediatric cases.

We offer attractive remuneration packages and generous leave entitlements including:
- Salary range: $8303.90 - $10528.40 p.f. (L18-L27)
- 5 weeks annual leave with 17.5% loading
- Allowances: Locality, Atraction and Retention, Motor Vehicle, Regional and Rural, Professional Development + leave
- 12.75% employer contribution to superannuation
- Plus Salary Sacrificing options may be available
Requirements:
- Medical degree registrable with the Medical Board of Australia as a specialist in Nuclear Medicine.
- Eligibility for fellowship with the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Radiologists (RANZCR).
or
the Royal Australian College of Physicians (RACP). - Evidence of participation in a continuing professional development (CPD) education programme.
- Qualified as a medical practitioner with specialist qualifications and registration, or eligible for registration, as a specialist with the Medical Board of Australia in the appropriate discipline.

The ideal applicant will be someone who has proven ability and can demonstration the following:
- Demonstrate experience in diagnostic and therapeutic nuclear medicine and PET CT.
- Demonstrate a high-level commitment to ethical practice.
- Demonstrate an ability to effectively manage matters of patient safety and quality of care.
- Commitment to research and expertise in theranostics.
- Demonstrate a high level of interpersonal skills.
- Dual qualification in another medical specialty or radiology is considered favourable.
