The Role
An opportunity has become available for a Health Information Lead to join Gold Coast Health (GCH) where the focus of our 13 000-strong team is on providing world-class health care to people living in the Gold Coast, and northern New South Wales region of Australia.
You will
- Provide expert advice to management on key classification, clinical documentation and care type issues
- Lead the development and integration of tools aimed to improve clinical documentation
- Engage with a broad range of stakeholders in the delivery of HIM services
- Review and implement service improvement strategies regarding clinically coded data
- Build the capacity of our staff facilitating education sessions for Sub and Non-Acute Patient practices
About you
To be successful in this position you will require:
- Proof of qualification in Health Information Management
- Declaration of serious discipline history must be disclosed
- Criminal History Screening will be required for new employees (GCH will cover cost)

- Base salary ranging from $124 154 - $133 898 per annum

The Digital Transformation and Research division has been established to define, design, enhance delivery and sustainability of our most significant service improvement, digital and transformation opportunities.
Our high-level responsibilities for the division are for service improvement, digital transformation, digital operations, digital assets, digital partnerships, portfolio/program/project management, clinical coding, service disruption, service redesign. As a division, we are responsible for the delivery of the transformation agenda, sustainability plan, digital transformation roadmap; and regularly report to the Board and Executive against progress of these agendas.
