Clinical Nurse Renal | Permanent Full Time | Bamaga

The Clinical Nurse - Renal plays a vital leadership role in the Bamaga Dialysis Unit, delivering expert, compassionate dialysis care to patients with end‑stage renal failure while leading, educating, and collaborating with the multidisciplinary team to provide high‑quality, patient‑centred care in line with national nursing standards and a strong sense of professional accountability.

This is a critical role supporting renal care in a remote community where your skills, compassion, and clinical leadership are deeply valued.

You won't just be delivering care - you'll be building trust, supporting continuity, and contributing to better long-term health outcomes for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.

We know moving into remote work is a big step and we're here to make it feel right. If you're even a little bit curious, reach out for a yarn. Abby Conry, 0427 645 437 would love to hear your story, answer your questions, and help you explore whether this could be your next chapter.

👉 Before you read on, we'd love you to watch the short video from Nurses Zoe and Shane. They share what it's really like working at Bamaga Hospital - the challenges, the rewards, and the community that makes it all worthwhile.

📍 “Bamaga… which way?”

Head north. Keep going… and then go a little further.

Right at the tip of Australia, you'll find Bamaga - a place where nursing is about more than tasks and timeframes. It's about people, connection, and care.

Bamaga is a remote town at the northern tip of Cape York Peninsula in Far North Queensland, close to the Torres Strait. It serves as the main service centre for surrounding Indigenous communities. Life in Bamaga is relaxed and strongly influenced by Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander culture, with daily activities shaped by the tropical climate and natural surroundings. The area features bushland, beaches, and a strong connection to fishing and outdoor living.

Facilities include a hospital, schools, airport, shops, and government services, providing essential support despite the town's isolation.
