Biloela Hospital is a 20-bed, CSCF Level 3 hub delivering acute and community care to the Biloela and Banana region — small in size, big on impact. With a mix of general and visiting specialist services, it's a place where variety keeps things interesting. And here's the exciting part: you'll help bring birthing services back to life, supporting local families through a midwifery-led model with the Banana Midwifery Group Practice.
About the role:
Ready to lead, inspire, and make a real impact? As Director of Nursing, you'll head up teams across a vibrant and diverse health service, shaping smarter, better care every day. You'll mix big-picture thinking with hands-on leadership and top-tier clinical expertise, all aligned with Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia standards.
Working alongside passionate leaders and multidisciplinary teams, you will champion strong clinical governance and great outcomes. Take charge of Acute Care and Community Services at Biloela Hospital—leading people, operations, and innovation with energy and purpose.
About you:
- Bachelor of Nursing + registration with Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (postgrad quals? Even better!)
- A natural leader who owns outcomes and champion's exceptional care.
- A people person: great communicator, team player, and calm conflict resolver.
- Clinically sharp with a passion for evidence-based practice.
- Juggles priorities like a pro with smart judgement.
- Inspires teams, manages resources, and builds positive, high-performing workplaces.
What we offer:
Total remuneration value of up to $192,006 p.a. is comprised of:
- An hourly rate between $80.95 - $84.87 p.h.
- 12.75% employer superannuation contribution
- 17.5% leave loading
