About us:
Surgical South is an acute 32 bed ward providing surgical care to elective and emergency surgical inpatients as a 24 hour, seven days a week service. Surgical South Ward is located Southern Wing of 5th floor in D Block, Cairns Hospital and operates a team nursing model within a multi-disciplinary team environment. Core surgery performed includes General Surgery, Breast (Mastectomies), Colo-rectal, Urology, Upper and Lower Gastro-Intestinal Surgery, Hepato-Biliary, Plastics and Reconstructive Surgery, Burns and Multi Trauma.
