About us:
The Clinical Nurse provides an early leadership role within the career pathway for nursing within the Cairns and Hinterland Hospital and Health services and is responsible for a specific patient population and is able to function in more complex situations while providing support and direction to the Registered Nurse and other non-registered nursing personnel. The Paediatric and Adolescent Wards provide evidence based care to patients aged 0-17 years of age. We accept and care for a range of specialties including general medical, respiratory, endocrinology, mental health, surgical, orthopaedic and ENT.

About your opportunity:
- Practice collaboratively and provide clinical leadership within the interdisciplinary health care team to promote the safety, security and personal integrity of individuals and groups
- Maintains productive multi-disciplinary working relationships, effectively dealing with challenging behaviours and the resolution of conflicts.
- Provide leadership to effectively plan, manage and evaluate patient care activities at an advanced practitioner level within the specified clinical setting and promote patient flow in collaboration with the multi-disciplinary team.
