What your day could look like

As an Allied Health Assistant, you'll be a valued part of the rehabilitation and recovery team, helping turn care plans into real progress for patients. Working alongside allied health professionals, you'll support safe, respectful care that helps people regain confidence and independence while strengthening outcomes for the wider community.

Every day, you'll contribute by:

  • Supporting patients through delegated assessments and therapy activities that promote recovery and daily function
  • Delivering individual and group-based interventions that help patients move toward their personal goals
  • Partnering with multidisciplinary colleagues to ensure care is coordinated, responsive and person centred
  • Contributing to team initiatives, accurate documentation and service improvements that enhance quality care

Here's what will help you thrive in this role:

  • Experience providing clinical support under the direction of an allied health professional
  • Clear communication skills and confidence working within a multidisciplinary team
  • Strong organisation, reliability and respect for professional boundaries and safety
  • A genuine interest in learning, feedback and contributing to better ways of working

You'll stand out if you hold a Certificate III or IV in Allied Health Assistance and/or have experience in rehabilitation or recovery-focused services.
