- Leading quality, safety and service improvement initiatives that respond to emerging needs
- Coaching and mentoring nurses to build capability, confidence and contemporary practice
Let's talk about you!

You lead with integrity, respect the dignity of every family, and have the courage to influence change where it matters most. You're proud of the way you support teams to grow, use evidence to guide decisions, and help families feel safe, heard and supported throughout their care journey.
Here's what will help you thrive in this role:
- Registration or eligibility as a Registered Nurse in Australia
- Postgraduate qualification in Child Health Nursing
- Advanced clinical experience in child and family health settings
- Strong leadership skills with a collaborative, improvement‑focused mindset
You'll stand out if you also bring additional postgraduate study, leadership development, or experience in regional or community‑based services.
Above all, you'll bring the Darling Downs Health values of compassion, integrity, dignity, innovation and courage into everything you do, helping create better care, stronger teams and healthier futures.
