The doors are open for motivated and enthusiastic Emergency Medicine Registrars to join our training network of Emergency Departments within Sunshine Coast Health over the next twelve months. Positions are available from February 2027, with negotiable hours and flexible duration of employment.
We are looking for ACEM trainees who are passionate about developing skills in areas of special interest within Emergency Medicine. We offer protected teaching time to attend our dedicated education program, catering to trainees of all stages of ACEM training. Exam specific education sessions to help trainees prepare for their exams, including mock exam opportunities.
Special interest opportunities exist for trainees to engage specialties including;
- RaSS – Residential Acute Support Service
- Ultrasound
- Hospital in the Home
- Simulation Education
- Trauma Service
Sunshine Coast Health is in southeast Queensland and extends through the coastal and hinterland areas from Caloundra in the south and Gympie in the north.

Salary rates: $5,155.00 - $7,163.00 p.f., employer contribution to superannuation (up to 12.75%) and annual leave loading (17.5%) (L4-L9, L10-L13) (temporary full-time or part-time position, up to 76 hrs p.f.) for up to 12 months. Applications will remain current for 12 months / or the duration of the vacancy. Applications may be used to appoint to similar vacancies for a period up to 12 months after the closing date of the initial vacancy.
