The Biomedical Technician is a key technical role delivering repairs, planned maintenance and technology support services to ensure the safety, reliability and effectiveness of biomedical and health technology equipment. Working as part of Biomedical Technology Services, you will support the delivery of high-quality health technology services that enable safe and effective patient care across Queensland Health.

What you'll do

In this role you will:

• Deliver technical services including installation, maintenance, repairs and preventive maintenance of biomedical equipment
• Accurately document maintenance activities and update relevant information systems
• Assist with managing test equipment, spare parts and technical resources
• Work with clinical staff, suppliers and stakeholders to support service delivery
• Follow quality, safety and workplace procedures
• Support continuous improvement and quality management activities

About you

We are searching for someone who:

• Holds an Associate Diploma, Advanced Diploma or equivalent in Engineering or related field
• Has knowledge of electronic and/or mechanical technologies and health technology equipment
• Can complete routine technical tasks including installation, maintenance and repairs
• Communicates effectively and works well in a team environment
• Demonstrates commitment to quality management and continuous improvement
• Holds a driver licence and is willing to travel if required
