About the role
Permanent Flexible Full-time opportunity to act as a vital link between clinical staff, management, and administrative officers, ensuring accurate information flow, coordinated processes, and a consistent standard of high‑quality administrative support. By managing resources, supporting staff capability, and maintaining efficient systems, the role contributes directly to the department's ability to deliver safe, timely, and effective patient care.
About you
Our ideal candidate will be someone who can carry out the following key accountabilities in accordance with the Metro North Health's values:
- Co-ordinate, lead and manage administrative activities and resources of the Department in order to provide efficient and effective utilisation of administrative support services.
- Prepare and present recommendations for service delivery and development, including resource utilisation, new and replacement equipment and additional funding, in consultation with the Director and the Department's Management Advisory Group.
- Implement and monitor a regular staff rotation to assist in multi-skilling including direct supervision of day-to-day operational procedures as required.
- Manage the Performance Appraisal and Development (PAD) process for all administrative staff in the Unit.
