About the work unit / facility
The Podiatry Department at Townsville University Hospital is an accredited NADC Centre of Excellence in High Risk Foot Services, delivering evidence based care across outpatient, inpatient and community settings. The team manages complex and chronic foot conditions and works closely with Vascular Surgery, Endocrinology, Wound Care and First Nations Health services.
Podiatrists are supported to work at top of scope within strong clinical governance frameworks, with full integration of prescribing for AHPRA endorsed clinicians and structured pathways for those seeking endorsement. The department also offers supervision, clinical exposure and professional development opportunities that support advanced practice and capability growth.

Competitive salary and benefits:

- Salary range: $128,169 to $137,918 p.a. (HP4)
- 4 to 6 weeks annual leave with 14%-17.5% loading

About your opportunity
Senior Podiatrists deliver high quality clinical services including assessment, diagnosis, treatment and case management for adult clients with complex foot conditions. The role applies independent clinical judgement, contributes to health education and foot health promotion, and plays an active part in clinical research within Townsville Hospital and Health Services.
Requirements
Applicants must hold a tertiary qualification in Podiatry and maintain current registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (Podiatry Board of Australia). The role may require travel to facilities across the health service, as well as participation in weekend and public holiday rosters.
