What we're looking for
Our ideal candidate will be someone who can demonstrate the following:
- Demonstrates high level clinical knowledge and expertise relevant to the delivery of evidence-based clinical psychology services to patients at The Park Centre for Mental Health. Domains of assessment include cognitive / neuropsychological, emotional, behavioural, personality, psychopathology, and offending / risk, involving the application of standardised psychology tools as well as high level clinical judgement. Implementation and evaluation of psychological therapies and interventions for adult forensic mental health inpatients, based on solid psychological assessment and formulation.
- Demonstrates strong interpersonal and communication skills in providing patients with a high standard of care.
- Demonstrates ability to provide a high standard of effective verbal and written communication in multidisciplinary teams. Timely and accurate completion of clinical documentation of assessments and interventions, including chart entries, database entries, and psychology reports.
Mandatory Requirements:
- Vaccinated against, and remain vaccinated against, certain vaccine preventable diseases (VPD) as outlined in the Health Employment Directive NO. 01/16
- Appointment to this position requires proof of qualification and registration or membership with the appropriate registration authority or association within Australia. Certified copies of the required information must be provided to the appropriate supervisor/manager, prior to the commencement of clinical duties.
