Your new role:

This is a fast-paced, project-focused role where you will lead the scoping, planning and early delivery of initiatives to strengthen internal tobacco-related processes and improve Environmental Health service delivery.

  • Lead the review, design and improvement of internal tobacco control processes to enhance service effectiveness and compliance
  • Scope and deliver allied health service planning initiatives that support improved patient and population health outcomes
  • Develop and evaluate innovative models of care and service delivery aligned to Environmental Health priorities
  • Build and maintain strong partnerships across hospital, community and primary care stakeholders to enable successful project outcomes

While this opportunity is initially offered as a short term contract, it is a critical first phase of a larger body of work. We are seeking someone who can step in immediately, scope and lead early project delivery - with a high likelihood of extension into ongoing project phases.

About you:

You are a proactive and strategic health professional who thrives in complex environments and can quickly establish credibility to drive meaningful change.

  • Demonstrated experience in allied health service planning, redesign and evidence-based practice
  • Strong stakeholder engagement, communication and negotiation skills in multidisciplinary settings
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities, analyse data and deliver high-quality project outcomes
  • A collaborative leader with the ability to influence, drive change and work autonomously

What we can offer you:

  • We offer a family-friendly work environment that supports you in making the most of Queensland's laid-back lifestyle.
  • We are renowned for teaching and research excellence with strong relations with Queensland's leading tertiary institutions.
  • We want to empower you to build a long-term career, with countless opportunities to learn and grow, no matter your role
  • You'll have all the benefits of working for Queensland's world-class public health system including generous leave entitlements, attractive salary and remuneration packages, salary packaging and access to relevant professional development allowances and/or leave, study and research assistance, corporate discounts and employee wellness programs.
