Your new role:
As an Administration Officer, you will provide vital administrative support to the Queensland Tissue Bank (QTB) quality team. You will help maintain high standards of documentation, compliance and reporting while supporting the daily operations of a specialised healthcare service that provides donated human tissue for therapeutic use. You will:
- Provide office administration support to the quality team and customers to facilitate the operation of QTB, referring clinical enquiries to suitably qualified staff member.
- Provide administration support to health professional staff by completing data entry, filing, generating correspondence and other tissue banking related activities.
- Complete all data entry requirements of the quality team including but not limited to serology, microbiological contamination testing results, environmental monitoring and retrieval results. Complete local document administrator training to support the quality team with document control activities – uploading new documents, publishing reviewed and approved documents and recalling/registering controlled copies.
- Participate in the Supplier Qualification process to support the quality team included but not limited to emailing requests to complete supplier qualification questionnaires and managing any communication with suppliers via email or telephone.
- Document, follow, monitor, report on and improve quality assurance procedures to ensure data in databases and records are of the highest possible standard.
About you:
You are a motivated and organised administrator who thrives in a structured and compliance-focused environment. You take pride in accuracy, teamwork and delivering high quality administrative support. You will demonstrate:
- A high level of attention to detail, ensuring accuracy and consistency in all aspects of work.
- Familiarity with medical terminology would be advantageous.
- Knowledge of document control and Quality Management Systems, along with administrative experience in a regulated environment, would be highly desirable.

Queensland Tissue Bank (QTB) is Queensland's sole facility for the provision of donated human tissues for therapeutic use. QTB performs all stages of tissue procurement including donor identification, screening and consent; and all stages of tissue preparation including retrieval, processing, storage, despatch, and quality management. Banked tissues include bone, skin, eye, and heart valves. Of the Australian states, Queensland has the largest tissue bank and provides therapeutic tissue products for both local and interstate use. QTB plays a part in informing both state and national policy on tissue banking.
