Your new role:
This is a unique opportunity to provide high-level project management support and strategic coordination within Metro South Hospital and Health Service – delivering specialist consultation and liaison for Deaf and hard of hearing people with mental health needs across Queensland.
Lead and coordinate strategic projects for the Deafness and Mental Health Statewide Consultation Liaison Service, managing project plans, records and registers in accordance with the Queensland Health project management framework.
Engage and consult with a broad range of internal and external stakeholders, representing the service on working groups and committees, and maintaining strategic links with community-based organisations.
Monitor and report on project progress, evaluate risks and issues, and provide well-reasoned recommendations to the Team Leader and Director to ensure quality outcomes are achieved.
About you:
We are looking for a motivated, organised and collaborative professional who brings proven project management capability and the interpersonal skills to thrive in a complex, multidisciplinary health environment.
Demonstrated experience managing complex, concurrent projects – including planning, prioritisation, risk escalation and delivery of high-quality outcomes – ideally within a health or comparable operational environment.
Highly developed communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build productive relationships across all organisational levels and with a diverse range of external stakeholders.
Strong analytical and problem-solving ability, with a capacity to identify process improvement opportunities and provide evidence-based recommendations, supported by sound knowledge of relevant legislation, policies and frameworks.
A self-motivated and autonomous worker who exercises discretion and integrity when handling confidential information, while contributing positively to team culture and Metro South Health's values of Integrity, Compassion, Accountability, Respect, Engagement and Excellence.
