Your new role:
In this role, you will deliver planned and corrective maintenance across specialised mobile dental and BreastScreen vans, ensuring critical healthcare equipment remains safe, compliant, and fully operational. You'll work both independently and as part of a team, providing high-quality, timely and cost-effective electrical services in a dynamic healthcare environment.
In this role, you will:
- Install, maintain, repair and fault-find on electrical systems and complex equipment
- Perform testing, compliance checks, and commissioning activities
- Maintain pumps, compressors, and associated plant equipment
- Undertake HV/LV switching and apply isolations safely
- Read and interpret hydraulic and pneumatic schematics
- Prioritise workloads, manage resources, and meet deadlines
- Liaise with contractors and stakeholders across multiple sites
- Supervise apprentices and trade assistants, providing coaching and support
- Ensure all work complies with safety, legislative and quality standards
- Accurately complete work orders and documentation
About you:
You are a qualified and experienced electrical tradesperson who thrives in a hands-on, fast-paced environment. You bring strong technical expertise, a safety-first mindset, and the ability to work across diverse settings while maintaining high-quality outcomes.
You will demonstrate:
- Electrical trade qualifications with a current QLD Electrical Licence
- Experience in maintenance of electrical systems, ideally in healthcare or complex environments
- Strong knowledge of electrical safety legislation and compliance standards
- Ability to fault-find, problem solve, and work with complex systems
- Experience with HV/LV switching (highly regarded)
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities
- Effective communication and stakeholder engagement skills
- Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively within a team
- Commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement
- A current driver's licence (Class C) and ability to travel between sites
