About the role

Temporary full time opportunity to participate in the provision, development and maintenance of an effective, efficient and equitable clinical gastroenterology service to hospital patients. This role contributes to the continual upgrading of medical education and the dissemination of knowledge to staff and patients, with clinical duties primarily based at Caboolture Hospital and the potential to support services across other Metro North Health facilities as required.

About you

Our ideal candidate will be someone who can carry out the following key accountabilities in accordance with the Metro North Health's values:

  • Provide Gastroenterology services in collaboration with other senior staff.
  • Document relevant clinical information accurately, concisely and legibly in patient's charts.
  • Conduct interviews, examinations and the identification of clinical problems.
  • Arrange investigations, gastroenterology treatment, medical treatment and discharge as directed by the Consultant to which assigned.
  • Conduct day to day review of patients.
