About the Team
The Deputy Director of Paediatric Cardiology will play a critical leadership role in shaping the department's workforce to meet current and future service demands. Working closely with the Director, the successful candidate will lead strategic workforce planning, oversee staff supervision and development, and ensure the department is equipped to deliver high-quality, patient-centred care.
About the Role
How you will contribute to CHQ
In this role you will coach and support others to deliver for children, young people and families (Leader of Others) in accordance with the Children's Health Queensland Leadership Excellence Framework and the Queensland Public Service and the CHQ values.
Strategic Workforce Planning
- Lead workforce planning initiatives to ensure appropriate staffing levels, skill mix, and succession strategies.
- Analyse service demand trends and align workforce capacity with clinical priorities and patient needs.
- Collaborate with hospital leadership to secure resources, forecast future workforce requirements, and support recruitment strategies.
