Your new role:

As a Theatre Assistant within Operational Support Services, you will play a key role in supporting clinical teams to deliver safe, high-quality patient care in a dynamic operating theatre environment.  You will:

• Assist medical and nursing staff with theatre preparation and clinical support activities
• Set up and manage operating theatre equipment in line with surgical requirements
• Safely transport and position patients within the theatre complex
• Maintain strict hygiene, infection control standards, and patient confidentiality at all times

About you:

You are a reliable and team-oriented individual who thrives in a fast-paced healthcare environment and is committed to delivering quality patient support services.  You have:

• The ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
• Strong communication skills with a focus on respectful, patient-centred care
• The commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness, safety, and confidentiality
• The willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and occasional overnight shifts

Redland Hospital is the major health centre for adults and children in the Redlands and Brisbane's southern bayside suburbs. We provide a range of services including emergency care, primary health and minor injury care, acute and subacute medicine, general surgery, maternity and paediatric, mental specialist outpatient and mental health care.
