About the role
Reporting to the Director, Facility Services, the Emergency Management Co‑ordinator is responsible for the development, coordination and implementation of emergency management, disaster management and business continuity strategies for Redcliffe Hospital. The role provides expert advice, leads planning and capability uplift initiatives, coordinates training and exercises, and supports the activation and operation of the Emergency Operations Centre and Incident Management Teams when required. You will manage projects, drive continuous improvement and change initiatives, liaise with key internal and external stakeholders, and ensure emergency and business continuity plans meet accreditation standards and legislative requirements. This role may require work outside standard business hours during emergency or disaster events.
About you
Our ideal candidate will be someone who can carry out the following key accountabilities in accordance with the Metro North Health's values:
- Provide authoritative written advice to senior management on a range of project related issues.
- Plan and manage emergency management and business continuity activities in accordance with agreed objectives and Metro North Health policies.
- Provide coordination and expert emergency management and business continuity advice to the Emergency Management Committee, including escalating key issues and risks, analysing business continuity impacts, planning strategies, preparing reports or presentations.
- Assist Redcliffe Executive leadership team and senior leadership team in the activation of the Redcliffe Emergency Operations Centre and formation and operation of the Incident Management Team during any disaster or emergency event. This may require work outside normal business hours and on call responsibilities.
