About the role
This role involves delivering comprehensive gastroenterology services – endoscopy, outpatient, inpatient and consultative care – while supporting safe, efficient service delivery aligned to Metro North Health priorities. You will work collaboratively with medical, nursing and allied health colleagues, contribute to portfolio and sub‑specialty development, and support education, clinical governance, and continuous improvement across the service.
About you
Our ideal candidate will be someone who can carry out the following key accountabilities in accordance with the Metro North Health's values:
- Provision of endoscopy services and outpatient services predominantly at Redcliffe, but also by negotiation at other Metro North gastroenterology facilities, e.g. STARS.
- Provide in-patient and consultation services at Redcliffe hospital in response to the needs of the service. This may need flexibility in approach with a strong collaborative focus.
- Liaison between Redcliffe Hospital and the GE sub stream lead to contribute to the coordination of services, future planning and monitoring of agreed activity and quality.
- Liaison with the Director of Surgery regarding optimisation of Endoscopy Suite utilisation and coordination with General Surgeons also providing endoscopy services.
- Participation in Working Groups to achieve National, State, College and Hospital targets as appropriate.
