Clinical Nurse Consultant - SurgiFLOW - Enhanced Recovery After Surgery and Prehabilitation Coordinator

Start a new journey with West Moreton Health! The purpose of this role is to lead, coordinate and enable the timely and effective implementation of Enhanced Recovery After Surgery (ERAS) and prehabilitation (ERAS +) pathways as part of the Healthcare Improvement Unit (HIU) SAFEST SurgiFLOW program.
The ERAS+ Coordinator acts as a local clinical and improvement lead, working in partnership with surgical, anaesthetic, perioperative, allied health and patient flow teams, Hospital and Health Services (HHSs) and the HIU to support consistent, evidence-based perioperative care pathways that improve patient outcomes, patient experience, surgical flow and system performance.

What we're looking for
Our ideal candidate will be someone who can demonstrate the following:
- Demonstrated advanced level of clinical knowledge, expertise and skills in managing post operative surgical patients.
- Demonstrated ability to work autonomously and provide independent professional judgement and expertise in problem solving and clinical management within a complex, fast paced clinical environment.
- Demonstrated knowledge of and ability to apply quality assurance processes including participation in ongoing professional development opportunities.
- Proven ability in the application of highly developed interpersonal, problem solving, negotiation and communication skills, to build sustainable relationships with key stakeholders inclusive of Multi-disciplinary Teams.
- Exemplifies the West Moreton Health Professional Practice Model by demonstrating person-centred care, professional excellence, safe and effective care delivery, commitment to quality and safety, and collaborative practice.
Mandatory Requirements:
- Vaccinated against, and remain vaccinated against, certain vaccine preventable diseases (VPD) as outlined in the Health Employment Directive NO. 01/16
- Appointment to this position requires proof of qualification and registration or membership with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (Ahpra). Certified copies of the required information must be provided to the appropriate supervisor/manager, prior to the commencement of clinical duties.
