Key competencies (role specific criteria)
You will be assessed on your ability to demonstrate the following:
- Demonstrated ability to provide assistance to scientific and technical staff within the laboratory.
- Demonstrated ability to work conscientiously and accurately with minimal local supervision.
- Demonstrated interpersonal skills and ability to work cooperatively as a member of a team.
- Demonstrated ability to follow written instructions, including laboratory manuals and basic maintenance procedures on laboratory equipment.
- A commitment to the maintenance of high professional standards and a demonstrated commitment to the principles of quality management and continuous quality improvement.
- Knowledge of, or ability to acquire knowledge of, procedure, policies and regulations which impact on the position, in particular the Queensland Health Code of Conduct, and a knowledge of contemporary human resource management issues such as workplace health and safety, equal employment opportunity and anti-discrimination.
