The Operational Capacity and Continuity Division comprises of the following branches: Disaster Management Branch (DMB), Queensland Patient Access Coordination Hub (QPACH) and Olympics and Majoy Events Coordination Unit.
What you'll do:
As a Manager, Disaster management branch, you will provide key program leadership to lead the development and implementation of a state-wide training and exercise program for disaster management in Queensland Health, in close collaboration with QAS and agency partners. You will also provide strategic and specialist advice in relation to incident management, major events and projects, ensuring principles of project management, compliance, reporting and improvement processes are observed. As a Manager, Disaster Management Branch you will be required to prepare high quality and complex reports, briefings, business cases and other communication on a wide range of strategic and operational disaster management and major events issues.
About you
We are searching for someone who has:
- Demonstrated ability to lead programs of work in complex environments, with range of stakeholders, utilising sound program management methodologies.
- Proven ability to develop and implement initiatives, frameworks, policy and projects in relation to organisational learning and capability development in the disaster management sector.
- High-level experience in disaster management training and exercises.
