What your day could look like

You'll play a vital role in supporting young people, their families and the wider community to reduce harm and improve social and emotional wellbeing. You'll work in a committed multidisciplinary team delivering respectful, culturally grounded and meaningful support.

Every day, you'll contribute by:

  • Supporting young people and families through strengths‑based, culturally safe AOD interventions that promote healing, resilience and positive choices
  • Partnering with Elders, schools and services to deliver community led wellbeing responses
  • Facilitating group programs, yarning sessions and activities that build connection, confidence and protective factors
  • Sharing insights that help shape high quality services and improve outcomes across the region

Here's what will help you thrive:

  • Eligibility for membership with the Australian Association of Social Workers and a recognised Social Work qualification
  • Experience supporting young people and families impacted by alcohol and other drug use
  • Ability to deliver culturally responsive, trauma informed practice built on strong relationships
  • Confidence working collaboratively across teams and community networks

Experience in regional or community-controlled settings, or additional training in youth, AOD or social and emotional wellbeing, will set you apart.
