What your day could look like
As an Enrolled Nurse Advanced Skill, you'll play a vital role in supporting safe surgery and treatment across our health service. Your work ensures clinical teams have the right equipment, at the right time, in the right condition—making care safer for every patient. You'll work alongside a trusted team that values precision, learning and shared responsibility.
Every day, you'll contribute by:
- Delivering high‑quality instrument reprocessing that supports safe, timely patient care
- Applying advanced knowledge to improve sterilisation standards, safety and efficiency
- Supporting and guiding colleagues and learners, strengthening team capability
- Contributing ideas that enhance quality, consistency and continuous improvement
Let's talk about you!
You're someone who brings calm focus and pride to your work. You understand that excellence in sterilisation directly supports patient outcomes, and you lead by example through integrity, diligence and care. You enjoy sharing knowledge, supporting others, and contributing to a positive team culture. What motivates you most is knowing your work underpins every successful clinical outcome.
Here's what will help you thrive in this role:
- Current registration as an Enrolled Nurse with no medication restrictions
- Strong experience or developing expertise in instrument reprocessing and sterilisation
- Confidence working with indirect supervision while seeking guidance when needed
- A collaborative mindset and commitment to safety, quality and accountability
You'll stand out from the crowd if you have experience mentoring others and/or additional study or training related to advanced nursing practice or sterilisation.
Most importantly, you'll bring compassion, integrity, dignity, innovation and courage to everything you do—helping deliver care our community can trust.
Together, this role supports safer care, stronger teams and better outcomes for our region.
