Supporting the Principal Project Officer, the role of the Senior Project Officer is to undertake activities, tasks and provide expertise in the achievement of human resource related project objectives and outcomes through the application of effective project methodologies that contribute to the achievement of Queensland Health's organisational goals.
What you'll do:
As A Senior Project Officer, you will have the ability to actively participate in a working environment, supporting quality human resource management practices including employment equity, anti-discrimination, workplace health and safety, and ethical behaviour. You will collaborate, negotiate, liaise and consult with key stakeholders regarding the needs of the project; and participate in the development of collaborative partnerships with internal and external service providers to ensure provision of quality services which are responsive to the needs of stakeholders. The Senior Project Officer will also provide contract management support functions to the Principal Project Officer, including those relating to renewals and variations.
About you:
We're looking for someone who has:
- High level interpersonal, oral and written communication skills and proven ability in consultation, liaison and negotiation with team members, government and non-government service providers and clients, and the ability to communicate complex organisational issues and prepare comprehensive correspondence, submissions, project documentation and reports.
- Proven ability to work effectively within a team setting to contribute to deliver outputs and manage competing work priorities to meet agreed deadlines and commitments.
- Demonstrated understanding of contemporary human resource practices, environments and principles.
