What you'll do:
As an Executive Support Officer, Engagement and Monitoring Unit, you will be a key member of the First Nations Health Office, providing high level support and advice to the Senior Director and liaising with senior management, the Minister's Office, senior executives in the public and private sector and clients to facilitate administrative and executive matters relating to the First Nations Health Office. You will provide confidential, executive and secretarial support, including diary management, and timely provision of documentation to support the Senior Director's participation in meetings. The Executive Support Officer will be responsible for reviewing, developing, evaluating and contributing to improving work systems, procedures and guidelines (in line with Branch Divisional requirements) to ensure timeframes are met. The role is responsible for the coordination and tracking of all unit correspondence and will support the unit to understand the correspondence processes and standards.
About you
We're looking for someone who:
- Proven ability and experience in effectively managing and prioritising the administrative functions and associated activities for Executive staff including the ability to initiate, determine and follow- up work priorities within mandated and tight deadlines.
- A demonstrated understanding and experience of correspondence processes and Information Management systems.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with demonstrated capacity to liaise, mediate and negotiate with all levels of staff and with a range of stakeholders including with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people and organisations in a sensitive and confidential manner.
