The Role

An opportunity has become available for a Pharmacist – Advanced (Team Leader Ambulatory and Operational Services) to join Gold Coast Health (GCH) where the focus of our 13 000-strong team is on providing world-class health care to people living in the Gold Coast, and northern New South Wales region of Australia. 

You will

  • Manage financial reporting, stocktakes, and budget compliance
  • Assist AO5 Manager with timely PBS claim processing and coordination
  • Oversee dispensary and clinical pharmacy services in assigned areas
  • Support inventory, purchasing, and compliance for medication management 

About you

To be successful in this position you will require:

  • A tertiary degree in Pharmacy
  • AHPRA Registration
  • Evidence of vaccination, or be able to be vaccinated against and remain vaccinated against - Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Pertussis and Hepatitis B
  • Tuberculosis screening, to identify if the tuberculosis vaccination may be required
  • Declaration of serious discipline history must be disclosed
  • Criminal History Screening will be required for new employees (GCH will cover cost)

Salary

  • Permanent full time
  • Base salary ranging from $144 991 - $151 289 per annum

About Us

Located in Southport, the Pharmacy Service provides medication management services across the Gold Coast Hospital and Health Service, 7 days per week.  Our team of approximately 130 (FTE) pharmacists are assisted in their roles by over 55 support persons comprising pharmacy assistants, administration officers, purchasing and stores personnel.  The dispensary at each of the two hospital campuses is also equipped with automated dispensing robots to facilitate dispensing, distribution and inventory management activities.
