Your opportunity:

  • The Clinical Director of Orthopaedic will provide expert clinical leadership and oversight to ensure the delivery of high performing orthopaedic surgery and trauma services, in collaboration with a multidisciplinary team. They will ensure the provision of high value, safe, and high quality clinical care to patients.
  • The Clinical Director of Orthopaedic Surgery will collaborate with the Executive Director Bundaberg to strategically plan and deliver an effective and efficient orthopaedic service for Bundaberg and Hospital catchment area. The Clinical Director of Orthopaedic Surgery role encompasses all the roles described in the CanMEDs framework. This includes research activities as well as teaching the health professionals of the future.
  • The Clinical Director of Orthopaedic Surgery will provide both clinical and strategic leadership, as well as direct clinical care dependent on prioritising service needs. In addition to the key responsibilities listed below, the role of the Clinical Director of Orthopaedic Surgery is to provide such services as may be reasonably directed from time to time by the Director of Medical Services or Executive Director of Bundaberg as outlined on the Organisational Chart.
