The dedicated Allied Health team at Mount Isa Hospital are looking for enthusiastic Early Career Professional (up to 3 years post-graduate) to join the team and help deliver high quality, culturally responsive care across inpatient, outpatient, and community settings. This is an identified position for First Nations Allied Health Professionals who are looking to develop their clinical skills and cultural leadership to make a meaningful difference in a supported environment.

About the role
As a valued member of the Allied Health team at Mount Isa Hospital, you'll deliver comprehensive services to a varied caseload across inpatient, outpatient, and community settings. Supported by a senior clinician and working within a multidisciplinary Allied Health team, you'll develop your skills, contribute to service improvement, and play a key role in ensuring safe, high quality care for the North West community.
- Provide person centred care within your discipline across all ages and service areas, whilst working collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team, delivering culturally safe and responsive care in line with NWHHS.
- Participate in the IAHA Leadership Development Program and attend the IAHA Conference.
- Receive regular cultural mentoring alongside clinical supervision and professional development opportunities.
Applicants with qualifications in a recognised Health Practitioner (HP) discipline listed below are encouraged to apply:

Working with us
- Eligible health practitioners entitled to accrue an additional three days professional development leave per annum, resulting in a total of six days professional development leave per annum.
- Eligible health practitioners working in designated remote areas will be entitled to a professional development allowance of $3,512.00 per annum.
- Rural and Remote incentive: Category D allowance of $431.22 p.f.
- Tax savings through salary sacrificing options are also available.

Requirements
- Mandatory requirements are a relevant tertiary degree qualification and appropriate registration/licences.
- C Class Motor Vehicle Licence.
- Pre-employment screening will be conducted for the successful applicant, including Criminal History checks.
- This is a VPD risk role and may require evidence of vaccination or immunity to: Hepatitis A/B, Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Pertussis, and Tuberculosis.
- A period of probation may apply.
