Your new role:
As Team Leader – Environmental Health, you will lead the delivery of advanced environmental health services while driving excellence in public health outcomes across Metro South Health.
- Lead and coordinate a team of Environmental Health Officers, overseeing workforce planning, performance, and service delivery
- Deliver high-level environmental health services, including complex investigations and public health risk responses
- Provide expert advice, stakeholder engagement, and representation across government, industry, and public health networks
- Drive service improvement, governance, and innovation through data analysis, research, and evidence-based practice
About you:
You are an experienced environmental health professional with strong leadership capability and a passion for improving public health outcomes.
- Advanced expertise in environmental and public health, with the ability to apply independent professional judgement in complex situations
- Proven leadership experience, including mentoring, team development, and managing multidisciplinary teams
- Highly developed communication and stakeholder engagement skills across diverse and complex environments
- Strong organisational and analytical skills, with experience in service improvement, workforce planning, and implementing innovative solutions
