Your new role:
As a Clinical Nurse in Ward 2M, you will provide advanced clinical expertise and leadership within a collaborative multidisciplinary team, ensuring high-quality, patient-centred care outcomes. In this role, you will:
- Deliver expert clinical care to patients with complex medical and geriatric needs
- Lead and coordinate nursing teams, supporting safe and effective care delivery
- Apply advanced clinical reasoning, problem-solving and decision-making skills
- Support patient flow from admission through to discharge
- Contribute to quality improvement, clinical audits and evidence-based practice
- Provide education, mentoring and clinical guidance to staff and students
- Actively participate in leadership, research and service development activities
About you:
You are an experienced and confident Clinical Nurse who thrives in a fast-paced acute care environment and is passionate about delivering high-quality patient outcomes. You will bring:
- Current registration as a Registered Nurse with AHPRA
- Advanced clinical knowledge in acute medical and/or geriatric care
- Strong leadership, communication and team coordination skills
- Demonstrated ability to manage complex patient care and competing priorities
- Commitment to evidence-based practice, education and continuous improvement
- Experience supporting and mentoring nursing staff and students
- High-level critical thinking and problem-solving capability

Logan Hospital is the major health centre for one of the fastest growing areas in Queensland. We offer a range of services, including medical, rehabilitation, maternity, surgical and paediatric care.
We offer our staff and students extensive support and training in most medical specialties. As a teaching hospital, we help train future health care professionals and participate in research through strong partnerships with Queensland's leading medical schools, universities, and TAFE Queensland.
Our services will continue to grow as we build bigger and better facilities to support the community. By 2027, we'll have more beds and 5 more birthing suites as part of the Logan Hospital expansion.
