About the role
The Senior Health Information Manager plays a pivotal role in ensuring the effective governance, coordination and optimisation of clinical documentation services at Redcliffe Hospital. This position leads the operational delivery of the Clinical Documentation Management Service (CDMS), with accountability for the accuracy, availability and lifecycle management of clinical records across electronic, scanned and paper-based formats. The position also supports clinical and corporate stakeholders through expert advice on clinical record systems, information workflows and data quality.
About you
Our ideal candidate will be someone who can carry out the following key accountabilities in accordance with the Metro North Health's values:
- Provide management and supervision of the CDMS Health Information Officers in conjunction with education and training, work output assessments and performance planning and review.
- Support staff rostering and including the use of Trendcare to roster staff and amend shifts as necessary.
- Coordinate and manage recruitment, selection and induction of CDMS administrative staff in accordance with human resources standards.
- Develop, implement, maintain and review processes to continually improve CDMS services in line with Metro North HHSs strategic vision.
- Perform ongoing quality improvement activities to improve services, streamline processes and increase efficiency, inclusive of the clinical documentation audit.
