About the role
The Senior Health Information Officer provides strategic and operational leadership of the Clinical Documentation Management Service (CDMS) at Redcliffe Hospital, ensuring the effective management, integrity and quality of clinical records across electronic, scanned and historical paper-based systems. The position is responsible for driving service improvement initiatives, managing audits, responding to enquiries and complaints, and ensuring compliance with legislative, professional and organisational requirements.
About you
Our ideal candidate will be someone who can carry out the following key accountabilities in accordance with the Metro North Health's values:
- Provide management and supervision of the CDMS Health Information Officers in conjunction with education and training, work output assessments and performance planning and review.
- Support staff rostering staff and amending shifts as necessary.
- Coordinate and manage recruitment, selection and induction of administrative staff in accordance with human resources standards.
- Develop, implement, maintain and review processes to continually improve the CDMS services in line with Metro North HHSs strategic vision.
- Perform ongoing quality improvement activities to improve services, streamline processes and increase efficiency, inclusive of the clinical documentation audit.
