The purpose of this role is to perform complex scientific and technical tasks in the Haematology and Transfusion laboratory, applying independent scientific judgement to analyse patient specimens, validate results and contribute to diagnostic services that support patient care and clinical decision making.
What you'll do
In this role you will perform routine and complex diagnostic testing in Haematology and Transfusion, analyse and validate patient results, participate in quality and service improvement activities, contribute to the development of laboratory procedures and protocols, provide advice to clinical teams when required, and work as part of a team delivering a 24 hour laboratory service.
About you
We are searching for someone who:
- Holds a degree in Medical Laboratory Science or equivalent
- Has experience in Haematology and/or Transfusion
- Can work in a 24/7 roster and on-call if required
- Has strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
