Your new role:
As a Clinical Nurse – Clinical Facilitator, you will play a pivotal role in delivering high-quality, evidence-based respiratory care while driving education, leadership, and clinical excellence within Amity Ward. You will:
- Provide advanced clinical leadership in the assessment, planning and delivery of care for patients with complex respiratory conditions, ensuring best practice outcomes
- Facilitate and support clinical education, mentoring staff and students to foster a strong learning culture and continuous professional development
- Coordinate and contribute to quality improvement initiatives, clinical audits and evidence-based practice to enhance patient safety and service delivery
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, Nurse Educators and Nurse Unit Managers to optimise workforce capability, resource utilisation and patient-centred care
About you:
You are an experienced and motivated Registered Nurse with a passion for respiratory care, clinical education, and leadership, committed to delivering exceptional patient outcomes. You have:
- Demonstrated advanced clinical knowledge and experience in respiratory nursing, including complex care management and contemporary practice
- Proven ability to lead, mentor and develop others, with strong communication skills and a collaborative approach to teamwork
- Experience in clinical education, training delivery or facilitation, with a commitment to fostering a positive learning environment
- Strong critical thinking, problem-solving and organisational skills, with the ability to drive quality improvement and adapt to change

Unit Profile
Amity Ward is a new service and building with 24 beds focusing on caring for inpatients requiring general medical care, specialising in respiratory medicine. We receive a broad range of medical conditions including COPD, asthma, respiratory failure (type 1 and type 2), and treatments such as non-invasive ventilation and high flow nasal therapy.
The ward consists of a mix of single rooms—designated for use as infection control isolation rooms—and shared double rooms. The unit also contains one negative pressure room to support the management of patients requiring airborne precautions.
