Your new role:

In this role, you will deliver high-quality inpatient psychology services, supporting patients experiencing psychological, emotional, cognitive and behavioural challenges related to their health by:

  • Providing clinical and/or neuropsychological assessments and evidence-based interventions
  • Supporting patient care through education, therapeutic input and discharge planning
  • Managing a caseload with effective prioritisation and accurate documentation
  • Working collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams to optimise outcomes
  • Contributing to clinical education, supervision and service improvement activities
  • Maintaining professional development and flexibility across service areas as required

About you:

You are a motivated and compassionate Psychologist who enjoys working in a collaborative healthcare setting, with:

  • Eligibility for general registration with AHPRA (Psychology Board of Australia)
  • An APAC-accredited four-year qualification in Psychology
  • Experience delivering evidence-based psychological assessment and intervention
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work within multidisciplinary teams
  • Effective time management, caseload coordination and documentation skills
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development and patient-centred care

Logan Hospital is the major health centre for one of the fastest growing areas in Queensland. We offer a range of services, including medical, rehabilitation, maternity, surgical and paediatric care.

We offer our staff and students extensive support and training in most medical specialties. As a teaching hospital, we help train future health care professionals and participate in research through strong partnerships with Queensland's leading medical schools, universities, and TAFE Queensland.

Our services will continue to grow as we build bigger and better facilities to support the community. By 2027, we'll have more beds and 5 more birthing suites as part of the Logan Hospital expansion.
