About us:

The Theodore Multipurpose Health Service located 229km Southwest of Rockhampton and is part of the Central Queensland Hospital and Health Service. Theodore is situated on the Leichhardt Highway between the junction of Castle Creek and the Dawson River.

The Theodore Multipurpose Health Service is a 10-bed facility that provides a range of health services to the community, including emergency, inpatients and outpatients, residential aged care, and telehealth services. 

About the role:

  • Undertake administrative support tasks and functions for a variety of departments, ensuring effective day to day operations are maintained, demonstrating initiative, flexibility, self-direction, and independence in the absence of direct supervision.
  • Organise and coordinate various meetings, including but not limited to the taking and distribution of agendas and minutes.
  • Liaise and communicate with staff of all levels and streams within Queensland Health and representatives of other agencies, community, and private organisations.
  • Always demonstrate professionalism and a positive service focus.
  • Maintain a good working knowledge of current issues relating to matters affecting Central Queensland Hospital and Health Service.
  • Help identify, develop, and implement strategies and work practices which improve workflow, efficiency, and effectiveness.

About you:

  • While there are no mandatory requirements, past administrative experience will be highly regarded.
  • Demonstrates professionalism, discretion, and sensitivity when engaging with staff and the public.
  • Ability to plan, meet deadlines and prioritise workloads, whilst working autonomously and to be flexible in a changing work environment.
  • Use initiative to identify opportunities for continuous improvement and to resolve problems.
  • Possession of high-level attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Well-developed interpersonal communication (written and oral), problem solving and negotiation skills to enhance ability to work successfully within a multidisciplinary environment.

What we offer:

Total remuneration value of up to $8,382 p.m. is comprised of:

  • An hourly rate between $39.98 - $44.46 p.h.
  • 12.75% employer superannuation contribution
  • 17.5% leave loading
