You will receive a competitive remuneration package value from $190,991 (L18) up to $238,474 (L27) comprising salary rates between $103.79 (L18) and $131.60 p.h. ( L27), motor vehicle allowance, professional development allowance, professional development leave 3.6 weeks p.a., regional attraction allowance, professional indemnity cover and private practice arrangements. Superannuation (up to 12.75%) and annual leave loading (17.5%) will be applied additionally to the total remuneration value

As a Psychiatrist in Hospital in the Home, you'll help people receive specialist mental health care in a way that respects their home, their routines and their recovery journey. Your work supports safer care, smoother transitions and better outcomes for individuals and families across the Darling Downs.

  • Providing high‑quality psychiatric care that supports recovery, choice and independence
  • Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams and partner services to deliver coordinated care
  • Offering clinical leadership that strengthens governance, safety and best practice
  • Contributing to education, supervision and service improvement with purpose

You're a psychiatrist who brings both expertise and heart to your work. You value collaboration, communicate clearly and approach complex situations with calm, courage and compassion. What motivates you is knowing your care helps people stay connected to their lives while receiving the support they need.

You'll thrive in this role with:

  • Specialist registration (or eligibility) in Psychiatry with the Medical Board of Australia
  • Fellowship of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatrists or equivalent
  • Strong clinical judgement and confidence working across multidisciplinary settings
  • A commitment to patient‑centred care, quality improvement and ethical practice

Experience in community or rural care, teaching or service development will be highly regarded.
